It looks like the Gnome project has inflicted another release upon the world. Their release notes detail the scope of the damage.

One of the things that stands out to me is the usage of the word 'modern' to describe their remote desktop client. It's the opposite of all those other old-fashioned clients carved out of the bones from the carcass of last night's dinner. It's not just Gnome, though. I see 'modern' being thrown around in places where it doesn't really mean anything. It's like how every neu-software package and neu-website described themselves as 'beautiful' a couple of years ago.
